Ryan Brown is the founder and owner of Ryan Brown Catering New York, a full service event catering company based in Brooklyn. Specializing in farm-to-table new American cuisine made from the best available locally sourced ingredients, Ryan is a preferred caterer at premier event venues throughout New York City and Connecticut.
After graduating with a degree in French Literature from New York University, Ryan worked in the fashion industry in Paris for several years before returning to New York to study at The French Culinary Institute. He went on to work at restaurants such as Picholine and Jean Georges before establishing his own business in 1999.
Ryan has consulted as a recipe developer for Weight Watchers and has acted as the executive consulting chef for Extreme Workout, preparing meals for elite athletes and ultra-marathoners in both New York and Switzerland. His work has been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings, The Knot and New York Magazine, as well as on blogs such as Style Me Pretty, Carats and Cake, and Ruffled Blog. He resides in Williamsburg Brooklyn and Northwestern, Connecticut.
